We're on the final leg of our cruise; 767.5 nautical miles to Fort Lauderdale. We woke to a beautiful day and a calm sea again. After breakfast, we found ourselves in the casino for a ½ hour or so. When we tired of that, I cashed out my winnings on my cruise card and it was back to the staterooms to spend a lazy morning enjoying very smooth sailing.

Well, it wasn't exactly a lazy morning, but a lazy day. I finished up a book I had been reading and started in on a second one. Lunchtime came and went with no desire to eat. And, in between doing nothing we took an hour or so out of our busy schedule today to pack. They wanted our packed suitcases outside of our rooms before dinner so the crew could pick them up for transfer to the pier in the morning.

At 4:00, Lee and Shelly trooped down for their final go at bingo. The jackpot had grown to $2,000. We'll see what sad news they have when they return. Well, guess what? It was sad news. The jackpot was finally won but not by our girls. Oh well.

At 5:30 we all trooped down to the dining room for our last dinner on board. When dinner was done, the assistant waiters performed the traditional Baked Alaska grand march by making several loops throughout the dining room with their desserts held high. They were led by the maître d' and the dining room manager. Lots of fun.

After dinner we drifted down to the casino for a last try at a jackpot.  It was not to be. We finished up the day with some last minute organizing and packing, had a cocktail or two on the balcony, then off to bed by midnight.
