The seas got a bit rougher overnight as we turned south after our traverse of Cuba, passing by Haiti and clearing Jamaica. We were into the open Caribbean now for a straight run down to Aruba. Moderate seas with 4 to 7 ½ ft waves.

We did breakfast at nine again. The girls went shopping at the Nothing Over $10 Holiday Store, then off to the $1,100 Snowball Bingo. No winning cards but Shel was one number away from claiming the jackpot. Oh well!

Bob hit the casino again at 10:45 for dice gaming lessons with Olga.  Then he bought into the $500 Blackjack Tournament at noon. He didn't make it past the first round.  From there he went up to the Adults Soccer Shoot-Out and to everyone's surprise he won, and got a gold medal to prove it.

Pele he's not, but he's still a gold medal winner!

I spent an hour in the casino and broke about even for my efforts. Everyone met back at the rooms at 12:45 then off to a Special Mexican lunch buffet. So, so at best.

The girls headed down to the shops to look for a watch for Shel and she ended up purchasing a nice Bulova. Again, Bob ended up in the casino to watch the Blackjack tournament play. I killed some time in the casino as well.  Then, everyone back to the staterooms for a visit on the veranda and a shower before dinner.

Another nice dinner in the Provence dining room. Jerked chicken for Bob, Shel and Lee and a seafood stew for me. Shelly loved the little delicacies like the whole octopus I pulled out of there. When we were done, back down to the casino for a not too lucky evening all around. Back to the room at nine. Very windy on the veranda and the 36 knot wind was whipping up a lot of spray, soaking everything outside of the stateroom. Read for a while and off to bed at 10:30.
